As far as we see now our world and life are full of high tech computer technology and people are dependent on them. Knowledge has spread like a wild fire of the jungle in the field of technology and especially in e-commerce.

Domain is the identification or verification string which describes a realm of administrative authority or autonomy. The Domain name system represents the IP address of each user which is different from all others. ICCANN (Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers) is the corporation which is responsible to allocate domain names for each user. These names were evolved to eliminate the confusion formed in the time when ARPANET was used and there were no specific names allotted to users and soon these addresses started to intermingle causing great confusions so after a lot of hard work the domain name system was introduced which proved to be the solution to all the internet systems and confusions with much less or no chances of disturbance due to some other user.

Nowadays the use of internet is so vast that everyone wants the domains of their own choice. It seems like that the domains have become more important for people instead of their own real names. People spend money and their time to get the domains of their own choice. There are now websites on the internet which have lists of names which are already booked and are taken while these websites also provide suggestions to the users searching for a name to select or think a new name which suits them the most. The Truth in Domain Act however forbids people to use inaccurate names for their blogs or websites as there is inaccurate information in the domains to attract users i.e. using the word porn or sex in the domains for websites which are completely irrelevant from the words which are present in their domains etc. This act forbids the domain owners to deviate or mislead the users and the punishment can be serious after the user does not stop breaking the law i.e. he may get his IP address, website or blog blocked or banned.

People are so selective and conscious about their domains that they sometimes also purchase the domains from others who are reselling the domain names in double amount or with large profit however this is completely illegal but the most expensive or in demand domains are sold online publically unlike other domains which are not so popular. This might also cause some domain confusion in the future as the domain used after purchasing from a resale is not legally allotted to you and it can be reassigned by the ICANN to some other user legally making a collision. The domains are the most important part of a net user at it is their own identity on the net just like a name is the identity of a person among their friends, relatives and other people around or related to them in the real world but this does not mean that one should become so crazy to achieve the name of their own choice that they start using the illegal means of getting it.
