When people begin thinking of their domain name and what they are going to name their business in many cases they will go for what they believe sounds best.

This means that they will discard a name that will get ranked on Google for a name that sounds good to them.

The problem with this is that they will inevitably end up having to pay for traffic pretty much for as long as the website is open.

The whole point of being ranked on the first page of Google is that you will be getting millions of clicks for the wonderfully low price of….nothing!

To get on the first page though you will have to learn a few things which I intent to share with you.

The first is that the name of your website is most probably going to end up being something which you didn't exactly want. For many people this will rankle slightly because they had their heart set on something and altering from that will hurt. The good news is that even though you may end up with a domain name that you didn't exactly want you will be getting the traffic and business that you always dreamed of and yet again just know that it will be for free.

How you are going to do this is using the Google Adwords Keyword tool.

This tool is used mostly by advertisers to check what list of keywords they should be advertising for but if you're smart you can use it to find a website name that you can rank high for that has millions of searches per month.

How to do this is to firstly go to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and type in the keywords that would be associated with your site. If for example your site is going to be about gardening and you are going to be selling a book about gardening on it then you would put in ‘horticulture' or ‘gardening.'

After this you are going to search for keywords with low competition but high search frequency. I know it seems like a weird idea but it works so just do it.

When you find these keywords go to Google thereafter and do an actual search. If there are websites already with the name then move on to the next one but if you find that the top search result only contains partial matches this means that if you were to pick the exact keywords as your domain name and S.E.O the page then you will be ranked first.

After this write some articles linking back to the site, make a few comments on blogs related to it and use whatever social media that you have to get the word out.

In a few short weeks you will be ranked number one and that's when the torrent of traffic turns into a flood.
